Stuff doesn';t usually happen in Countdown. I actually found myself thinking "it'd be cool if they expanded on this" while reading it. If there's one thing to point at at Countdown's major downfall, it's that everything has been way too expanded and drawn out over multiple issues. I'm not sure the story itself was fundamentally flawed (although it certainly isn't that great regardless), but ti was juts the execution that fucked it all up.
