I don't doubt that big boobs sell, but they sell as part of the overall package of the Unattainable Unrealistically Hot Woman. Look at the Invisible Woman in that picture up there - that's just not attractive AT ALL.

I think that the Heroes TV Guide cover shows that, even if Turner is not a great artist, he is an adequate one. He CAN draw girls that look like female humans if he wants to - his rendition of Claire did not have an oversexualized look about her. No giant breasts, no way-too-skinny waist, no ridiculous seductress look on her face.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that Turner would be a good artist if he always drew like this, but I would be more receptive to his work, I think.

I think it was the Occasional Superheroine who pointed out that, in all honesty, Turner probably draws his women this way because no matter how much we complain, that is what sells and that is what the Big Two want. Unfortunately, and without absolving Turner completely, I'm inclined to agree.

Have you seen his cover on the new TV Guide of "Heroes?" I can't really tell who two of the four characters are, but at least he drew HRG and the Cheerleader well enough so that you can tell one of them is wearing horned-rim glasses and the other is a cheerleader.

Plus, oddly enough, they aren't all enormous boobed muscle-bound freaks. But you still can't see their feet.
